    Installation

    Server-side

    1. Install bundles

Copy the 5 built artifacts into $NUXEO_HOME/templates/custom/bundles/

    2. Install Docker

    Install it directly from https://docs.docker.com/engine/installation/.

    From the Nuxeo Docker image

    1. Create a new container

    docker run \
      --name nuxeo-3d \
      -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock \
      -p 8080:8080 \
      -e NUXEO_CLID="[your clid goes here]" \
      -e NUXEO_PACKAGES="nuxeo-platform-3d nuxeo-web-ui" \
      nuxeo

The volume flag (-v) is used to expose the Docker socket, so that this container can start other containers.

    2. Stop the Nuxeo server

    docker exec nuxeo-3d bin/nuxeoctl stop

    3. Install Docker

3.1. Access the container as root

    docker exec -ti -u root nuxeo-3d /bin/bash

3.2. Update the apt package index

    apt update

3.3. Install packages to allow apt to use a repository over HTTPS

    apt install apt-transport-https ca-certificates curl gnupg2 software-properties-common

3.4. Add Docker's official GPG key

    curl -fsSL https://download.docker.com/linux/debian/gpg | apt-key add -

3.5. Set up the stable repository

    add-apt-repository "deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/debian $(lsb_release -cs) stable"

3.6. Update the apt package index again

    apt update

3.7. Install the latest version of Docker CE

    apt install docker-ce

    3.8. Exit the container

    exit

    4. Start the Nuxeo server (as root)

docker exec -ti -u root nuxeo-3d bin/nuxeoctl console

    How to use it

Create a new document type "3D". Then add to the main content the (e.g.) ".obj" document and all other assets (textures, materials,..) as attached files. it is possible to add a Zip file with all the content inside (subdirectories are allowed).

Draging and droping a 3D file (supported extension or zip with supported content) will also result in a 3D document.

    Available features:

    • Preview your 3D asset
    • List of downloadable transmission formats
